This is occurring because the unlimited plan provided to our Opera VPN users is a Total VPN Subscription plan.
Torrenting activity is only protected through our "Torrent Optimized" server, which is only available on our Windows and Mac desktop applications for users that are registered with with an Ultra VPN Subscription plan. This means that the VPN and the torrent client cannot be functioning simultaneously.
If you would like to protect your torrent activity through SurfEasy, you will need to upgrade from the Total VPN Subscription plan to the Ultra VPN Subscription plan. If you do not wish to upgrade to the Ultra plan, all you will need to do is shut down the torrent client on your computer and restart the VPN. The app should then connect as normal.
Step 2: Click on the background processes tab at the top of the task manager. In the list of background processes you will need to locate the torrent client and left click on it. After doing so please left click on “End Task”.
Step 1: Left click on processes.
Step 2: Locate the torrent client that is currently active on your computer and left click on it.
Step 3: Click "End Task" to end the process.
